About Trinity Reformed Church

Trinity Reformed Church is a vibrant community of believers dedicated to worshiping the Triune God and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Reformed tradition, seeking to glorify God in all aspects of life.

We are a mission church of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, gathering 1–2 times per month for Lord's Day worship. We also meet weekly for fellowship meals, where we feast, pray, and sing.

Our congregation exists to build up the body of Christ through faithful worship, sound biblical teaching, and genuine Christian fellowship. We believe that the church is called to be a light in the community, demonstrating the love of Christ through both word and deed.

Trinity Reformed Church is a congregation in the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC), the Athanasius Presbytery.

What Makes Us Distinctive

Biblical Worship

Our worship is deeply rooted in Scripture, drawing from the Bible's outline for the gathering of the saints on the Lord's Day. This biblical pattern, traditionally known as covenant renewal worship, is where God renews His covenant with His people, and believers renew their covenantal commitment with Him.

Keeping Our Kids

We include our children in the main service, rather than offering a separate children's service. They are vital members of our covenant community and we aim to disciple them to advance Christ's Kingdom. You'll hear the joyful sounds of little ones as we worship together as one church body. As our kids participate alongside us, they observe and learn how their parents, fellow adults and older siblings worship. This shared experience nurtures their faith and integrates them into the life of our congregation.

Genuine Christian Fellowship

We cultivate a robust Christian community that extends beyond Sunday worship, where members share life's joys and trials, growing together in faith and love. We foster an environment of sincerity, trust, and hospitality as we feast and sing and pray together. This fellowship strengthens our local church and extends to our neighbors, bringing all of Christ to all of life.

Historic Reformed Confessions

We stand firmly upon the historic confessions of the Christian church, including the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Apostles' Creed, and the Nicene Creed, which have guided believers for centuries.

Our Beliefs

The Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

The Sovereignty of God

We affirm that God is sovereign over all creation, working all things according to His perfect will and purpose.

The Centrality of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and the center of all Christian life and worship.

CREC Confessional Standards

As a CREC congregation, we hold to the historic Reformed confessions, including the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Apostles' Creed, and the Nicene Creed.

The Communion of Saints

We believe in the catholicity of the church and our connection to the broader body of Christ united through one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.

Cultural Transformation

We are committed to the transformation of all areas of life under the lordship of Christ, for the glory of God.

Sunday Worship

Understanding the Lord's Service

Our worship follows a biblical pattern that has been practiced by Christians for centuries. The Lord's Service is not merely a religious ceremony, but a sacred gathering where God meets with His people through Word and Sacrament.

Call to Worship

We begin by acknowledging God's holiness and our need for His grace, preparing our hearts to receive His Word.

Confession & Assurance

We confess our sins and receive God's pardon, reminding us of our complete dependence on Christ's righteousness.

Word & Sacrament

Through Scripture reading, preaching, and the Lord's Supper, we are nourished by God's truth and strengthened in our faith.

Benediction & Commissioning

We are sent forth with God's blessing to serve Him in the world throughout the week.
